Hello, I messed up on my 2016 taxes and have to amend it. Do I need to buy the TurboTax Deluxe for 2016 or can I buy it for 2017 and still amend my 2016 taxes?

Yes, you will need to purchase and install TurboTax 2016 in order to amend your prior year return. Due to tax law changes, the software for each year can only be used to prepare tax returns for that particular year.
