I need help with my ammendment. I went from receiving money to now owing. I always file 0 and have never owed before. Could this be a mistake from the ammendment?

Having a balance due from an amended return does not mean that there is a problem with your amended return.

Without knowing the details of your return, there is no way for me to know why you owe part of your refund back to the IRS (if you received a refund on your original return).

However, a common issue would be that if you added another W-2, then the increase in income may have decreased a credit you received or the W-2 did not have enough taxes withheld to cover the increase in income tax when you added the additional income.

So if my first tax was accepted which was the wrong w2.  And I noticed this the day after.  Is it showing that I owe based on the difference rather than saying I owe altogether.  This is what has me confused because it wants me to send a check along with the ammendment.  I haven't received any money from the IRS yet because I only filed three days ago.  Why can't they deduct it from the original one which would only make sense if this happened to be the issue

Yes, the amended return is a stand-alone return by itself.  The balance due you see is only a result of the changes you made.  Your original return/refund is still being processed.

The IRS would not be able to deduct the balance due from your original refund because the two returns will not be processed together.  It would be fine for you to wait until you receive your refund from your original return before mailing the amended return -- it fact it would probably be a good idea.
