I entered my employer W-2 and none of my $3891.68 of after tax premiums listed on my pay stub have showed up? Can I claim these after tax costs?

I am retired and was on Medicare 9/1/16. My Medicare medical insurance premiums have showed up on my deductions but I entered my employer W-2 and none of my 3891.68 of after tax premiums listed on my pay stub have showed up. Can I claim these after tax costs?

Yes, if these premiums are health insurance premiums, you can claim them as Medical expenses.

Medical expenses are deductible for the portion exceeding 7.5% of your income in Schedule A - Itemized deductions.

Are you sure they are after tax premiums?

Yes, if these premiums are health insurance premiums, you can claim them as Medical expenses.

Medical expenses are deductible for the portion exceeding 7.5% of your income in Schedule A - Itemized deductions.
