Years ago we used to have a short form tax ability to prevented itemization. is this still possible today 22023

Everyone uses the same form 1040 these days and if you itemize that adds a Sch A to the return.

The IRS Form 1040-EZ was removed from the tax code after tax year 2017. There is only one Form 1040 now.

If you do not want to enter itemized deductions in the Deductions and Credit section you do not have to.
