With this unusual year, I took advantage and paid my taxes on July 1st in full and it was cleared by my bank on July 6. IRS has mailed a letter asking to be paid. Help.

Who or how do I get IRS to see the payment?

Are they looking for the balance due amount ???    IF so simply respond back with proof of payment  or call the number on the notice ... sometimes a call is all that is needed.

How did you pay it?  Did you pay directly online at the IRS or mail a check?  If you mailed a check did you send it with the 2019 1040V voucher?  If you used a 1040ES slip that was the wrong one.

does your payment show up in the notice?    if you paid by check not putting the year or your SSN on it will cause issues.  if there is a phone number on the notice you might try calling first.   They may be able to track down your payment and thus you would avoid the hassle of responding to the notice.   if you can't get thru you'll have to send in proof with the notice.  do not send the original a copy will do.  mail it so you get proof of delivery.
