I bought the deluxe version CD and it wants to charge me $44.99 for state, I plan on printing and mailing the state return in. Whats the deal here?

With the CD/Download version of TurboTax you are able to download one state. You can prepare and print an unlimited number of tax returns for that one state. However, additional fees apply for e-filing state returns and each additional (different) state you download will incur a fee.
