If you are looking at the estimated payment date that TurboTax gave you when you filed your tax return, that's just a guess. It doesn't mean that your refund will be deposited on that date.

If Where's My Refund? on the IRS web site says that they deposited your refund today, it will not necessarily appear in your bank account today. It depends on your bank. Some banks process direct deposits right away, and some banks take a couple of days. It might also depend on exactly what time the bank receives the transmission. I'm sure the bank has a cutoff time for crediting a direct deposit the same day.
