Will my federal return hold my state return? I opted for the fees to come out of my refund, will this hold my state return from processing over?

My federal return was accepted but my state only says pending, like TurboTax did not transmit it over to my state. I opted for fees to come out of my federal refund and not sure if this let's TurboTax hold my state return from transmitting over until they collect payment fees thru my federal return??  I checked my state for refund update but no info in available except for a generic message saying they haven't received my state return.  It should only take 4-7 business days to process my state return.

Opting to pay your fees from your federal refund will not affect your state return being processed. Your state will show that way until your federal return has been accepted by the IRS. It can only be e-filed once federal is accepted. At that point, then you can start tracking status of state. 

The IRS is just starting to accept e-filed returns starting today, January 29, 2018. When will the IRS start accepting e-filed returns?
