Will it affect my refund if one of my W-2 is messed up?

My second W-2 may be messed up. There could not have been the right amount for federal to go out.

We cannot see your return so we do not know what is "messed up."   What box is messed up?  Or is more than one box entered incorrectly?  Give us some details.  And....did you already e-file?

It’s my federal box that is the least on my second W-2. My federal is least than my state and local tax.

@bcausey28 Ask your employer to explain.   If something is incorrect on your W-2 they will need to issue a corrected W-2.   If you have not e-filed ---wait until you sort this out and see if the W-2 needs to be changed.

Was it a very low amount earned?

Compare your W-2 to your paychecks.

The amount your employer withheld and matched on your income is very important, (FICA)

but what they withheld for Federal Income tax won't affect your TAX LIABILITY. It is just the tax you pay ahead of tax time.

Your tax liability (what the IRS feels is your fair share) isn't affected.

The amount withheld for Federal Income tax is usually based on how you fill out your W-4.
