I have already filed and paid my 2018 taxes. After filing, I received a corrected 1099-MISC for my spouse. This change made my tax due ~$500 less than what I paid. How will I get the difference back? This is my first year doing my own taxes since 2011 and of course, something like this happens. Any help would be appreciated!

Yes, if your tax due is less than it was originally and you already paid the tax due, you will get a refund of the amount you overpaid. It can take up to 16 weeks for the amended return to be processed so it will take a while, but you will then get the overpayment back in the form of a paper check from the IRS.
