@irahunt - if it is manufactured in the US - yes; if it is manufactured outside the US- no. 

@DoninGA - VW announced they will assemble the 2023 VW ID4 in TN, so the answer is could be  "yes".

This website lists the 2023 Volkswagen ID.4 as being eligible but only if it was manufactured in the US.  When you receive the vehicle use the VIN decoder on the website to verify it is eligible - https://afdc.energy.gov/laws/electric-vehicles-for-tax-credit
