See if you have another 2021 file on your computer. The tax files end in .tax2021 and should be in your Documents in a Turbo Tax folder. What exactly did not transfer?
Here's an idea. Do you still have 2021 installed? Try opening 2020 program and see if you can get your 2021 return to show up in it. Go to FILE - OPEN. And see if that is the right one.
Then in the 2021 program do a File-Save AS and give it a easy name you can find or search for. And note where it saves it or select where to save it so you can find it again. The file will end in .tax2021. Then close the 2021 program. Then start a new 2022 return and transfer from the 2021 file.
If you don't have the main .tax file you might have one that starts with a Tilde sign ~ like "~your name.tax2021". That file is if your computer crashes or your real file gets lost or deleted or corrupt so you can restore it.
just to be sure you are doing this correctly:
1) launch TT22
2) you want to push the 'start new return' button in the middle of the screen
3) when the next screen appears, last year's file should be listed andyou want to push the 'transfer return" button.....
it should work
Thank you for the reply. Unfortunately I have already tried to do that and nothing transfers.

I think that's the answer. I was trying to find the TT 21 program to do just that. Thanks very much!
