Why is my return is still in pending status after 48 hours?

 When I check on my status with the turbo tax email that said I filed, it says I did not file my return.  I went back to turbo tax to check the status and it says it is in pending status.  What is the problem?

Don't worry at all, although it typically takes approximately 48 hours it can sometimes take longer. It should update for you soon. More information has also been provided for you below to explain.
