Why is my estimated tax refund different than my finale refund?

We cannot see what you entered into the estimating tool nor can we see your screen or your tax return.   So we do not know if you put in different information somewhere with one or the other.   But the actual tax software is more detailed and guides you more than the estimating tool.   Remember that an estimate is only a "best guess"---it cannot be exact.

Check all of your amounts and make sure you did not misplace any decimals or add zeros.    Is there a specific deduction or credit that you think is not right or not what you expected?
