So you've already efiled, and your return has been accepted?
Here are a couple of ways to download a copy of your already-filed 2021 return. The second method has the most options and the most forms.
Here's the short way, but the PDF at this point may not yet be up to date and may not have all the worksheets.
Log in and at the Tax Home scroll down to the section "Your Tax Returns & Documents."
Expand that section and choose tax year 2021 and you should have a link to download the PDF.
Here's a way to get the most up-to-date copy with or without all the worksheets as desired, by opening the filed return back up to print at the Print Center.
NOTE: When you open your return back up, do not make any changes in it if it's already been filed. If you later have to amend the return, it has to start off exactly as it was when it was originally filed.
NOTE: Remember all PDF tax documents and tax data files are very sensitive files, since they contain your personal ID info, financial data, and possibly bank account numbers, etc. Be sure to store them safely and securely to guard against computer theft, hacking, etc.
@mesquitebean Hi,
Thanks for the instructions but I have already done all of that. It is simply still saying that I can only preview my return but will not allow me to officially download it. See screenshot...
If the second method I provided above (about how to download/print from the Print Center inside the return) didn't work for you, then I don't know why. Here's how to phone TurboTax Support so they can question you and troubleshoot in realtime.
