Why is my 2021 amend tax return being mailed and efiled?

Can you please clarify, did you already e-file your amended return?

I amended my return on 2/25 it was accepted same day. How long does the average amend return take to process? why would they tell me to efile but I’m hearing it’s being mailed and not direct deposit.
