Why is it taking so long for my fiancée to get her tax return back

Due to the PATH Act, many Federal refunds have been delayed. If she claimed the Earned Income Credit (EIC) or Additional Child Tax Credit, the IRS stated that they began issuing those refunds as of yesterday so hopefully she will be hearing something soon.. The FAQ below provides further details.
