TurboTax will have no knowledge of what is going on with your return processing at the IRS.  Once efiled, the IRS does not communicate with TurboTax.    Only the IRS will know what all they are doing with your return.  So you'll have to ask the IRS.  I'll leave info below on how to navigate the IRS phone system to speak to a live agent there.

I'll also leave info on how you can contact the Taxpayer Advocate Service, who may be able to either get info for you or perhaps expedite things, especially if you have a hardship.

IRS:  800-829-1040  hours 7 AM - 7 PM local time Mon-Fri

Here's how to reach a live IRS agent.  Listen to each menu before making the selection.

First choose your language. Press 1 for English.

  • Then do NOT choose the first choice re: "Refund", or it will send you to an automated phone line.
  • Instead, press 2 for "personal income tax".
  • Then press 1 for "form, tax history, or payment".
  • Then press 3 "for all other questions."
  • Then press 2 "for all other questions."  It should then transfer you to an agent, but there is likely to be a long wait.
I usually use a speakerphone so I can work on something else while waiting.

If you don't get good information from the IRS, then you can consider contacting the IRS Taxpayer Advocate Service for your area.  At the following IRS website, find the USA map and click on your state, and it will give you the number of your IRS Taxpayer Advocate.

This is mainly a user community forum.   No one here will know about your situation unless you explain it.  TurboTax does not contact folks about a tax refund or provide any updates on it.  The folks at TurboTax have no access to your refund information at the IRS.  Once your return reaches the IRS, TurboTax doesn't get any followup about your return or refund.    We can tell you what to check.   So please answer all of the following:

Did you efile, or did you print, sign, and mail the return?

If you efiled, double-check with this tool to be sure the return was efiled successfully and accepted:
<a rel="nofollow" target="_blank" href="https://shop.turbotax.intuit.com/efile/efile_status_lookup.jsp">https://shop.turbotax.intuit.com/efi...>
What does it show?   Does it say accepted, rejected, or no record found?

If that showed it was accepted (or if you mailed the return), what do you see at the IRS website below for the status of your Federal refund?
<a rel="nofollow" target="_blank" href="https://www.irs.gov/Refunds">https://www.irs.gov/Refunds</a>

If the IRS tool found your return and says it is still "being processed", then since it's been longer than 21 days, we can tell you how to speak to someone at the IRS to see if they can tell you anything about the delay.

If that IRS tool shows that the refund has been sent, report back for more info.
