Why doesn’t refund amount doesn’t match the tax summary amount? The difference is well over $500

Not sure what amounts you are looking at or where you are seeing them. The "summary" can be confusing ----it nets out the difference if you are getting a refund for federal and owe the state--or vice versa. Or it adds two refunds together---federal and state.
