Why does my TurboTax account says my tax refund has been accepted while I just got a letter asking for more details from IRS (information is already in the tax return)?

Why does my TurboTax account says my tax refund has been accepted while I just got a letter asking for more details from IRS (information is already in the tax return)?
Accepted just means received for processing. It does not mean Approved.
The IRS might need to verify some info if they did not also get it (for example) from your employer.
