The Federal refund and state refund come from two different tax agencies. There is no ability to pay for them to come at the same time. They generally come on 2 separate days from 2 different sources. If they did come on the same day, it would be a huge coincidence. If you paid for something in addition to your product fees, it was for some other feature.
"What was I charged?"
It depends on a number of factors including what edition you used, what additional options you chose (if any), whether you paid the fees upfront or out of your refund, etc.
See if you can view your fees this way. Log into your Online TurboTax and go to the Tax Home (it may already open there). Scroll down on the Tax Home page to Order Details.
NOTE: If you chose to pay your TurboTax product fees out of your Federal refund, there is an additional $40 service for that option ($45 for California filers.)
Did you choose to have the Turbo Tax fees deducted from your refund? You misunderstood. The extra charge was only to have the fees for both federal and state taken out of your federal refund. Sorry you can not get federal and state refunds together. They come from different places and at different times.
