What is the status of your federal tax refund on the IRS website - https://www.irs.gov/refunds
Did you request to have the TurboTax online account fees paid from the federal tax refund?
The status is IRS is still processing my taxes, and yes I requested TurboTax to charge my fees from my return but they (TurboTax) already took their fees from my account without me getting my return yet. Please help I don’t get this….
@ibra237932 The date posted on the TurboTax Tax Home web page is an Estimate only.
Once a tax return has been Accepted by the IRS or a State, TurboTax receives no further information concerning the tax return or the status of any tax refund.
After the tax return has been Accepted by the IRS (meaning only that they received the return) it will be in the Processing mode until the tax refund has been Approved and then an Issue Date will be available on the IRS website.

Call the IRS: 1-800-829-1040 hours 7 AM - 7 PM local time Monday-Friday
When calling the IRS do NOT choose the first option re: "Refund", or it will send you to an automated phone line.
So after first choosing your language, then do NOT choose Option 1 (refund info). Choose option 2 for "personal income tax" instead.
Then press 1 for "form, tax history, or payment".
Then press 3 "for all other questions."
Then press 2 "for all other questions."
- When it asks you to enter your SSN or EIN to access your account information, don't enter anything.
- After it asks twice, you will get another menu.
Press 2 for personal or individual tax questions.
Then press 3 for all other inquiries
It should then transfer you to an agent.
Estimated tax return was 04/29/2023. But my phone has been cut off I don’t know if I can call them from a different phone number? TurboTax really ruined it for me I had plans. But let me know if I can use a different phone to call them, regards.
@ibra237932 Yes, you can call the IRS from any phone. The phone number used to contact the IRS does not matter.
Your tax return is the form you send to the IRS that shows your income and calculates your tax. The money the IRS sends back to you is your refund. You don't get your return. The IRS gets your return. You get your refund.
Let's be clear, and blunt. There is no such thing as "on time" or "supposed to get" for tax refunds. The estimated date that TurboTax gives you is just an average. It's not based on specific information about your tax return, and it doesn't mean that you will get your refund by that date.
Once the IRS has accepted your tax return for processing, TurboTax is out of the picture. It's entirely in the hands of the IRS, and there is nothing TurboTax can do. There are many variables that can affect how long it takes to process your tax return and issue your refund. Go to the following link on the IRS web site for more information about the factors that can affect when you get your refund.
