While updating to a new computer, I think I have lost all my previous TurboTax returns. The only one I can still find is my 2017. Can I recreate my 2021 return?

I have carryover losses from 2016, and don't know how to proceed without importing my data from previous returns.  Any suggestions?

do you back up your computer files? is the old computer still intact? 

you are looking for files that are in this format:  *.tax20XX  where the XX is the year in question.

Thanks so much for your quick response!  Unfortunately, it is a perfect storm scenario...I scrapped my old computer about a month ago.  My files were/are all being backed up to my One Drive (in the cloud) but when that quickly filled up, I deleted a bunch of files and/or folders, and I must have had my returns tucked safely away in one of those folders.  Everything appears to be gone, and a thorough search of my hard drive shows only the one file .tax2017 and no others.
