While trying to do 2019 taxes, all info went in as 2019 income instead of 2018 income. How might I go about fixing my mistake?

I'm not really sure what you were trying to do.  the statement does not make sense - "do 2019 taxes all info went in as 2019 instead of 2018". You can not report 2018 income on your 2019 return.  2018 online preparation and e-filing are closed.   you must buy the desktop software

if your "2019" return was accepted you will have to amend it after it is fully processed - you receive your refund or your payment clears.

@capgidney If you used the online software that is why you think it all "went in" as 2019 income.  The online program is ONLY for a 2019 return, so you made a big mistake if you used it for 2018 income.  Hope you are asking BEFORE you e-file so that we can stop you in time.

If you have income to enter for 2019, you can clear the data out and use the account for 2019 instead.  Get ALL of that 2018 information out.

If you do not have 2019 information to enter, then just abandon the account.

Online preparation and e-filing for 2016, 2017 and 2018 is permanently closed.

To file a return for a prior tax year

If you need to prepare a return for 2016, 2017, or 2018 you can purchase and download desktop software to do it, then print, sign,  and mail the return(s)

https://turbotax.intuit.com/personal-taxes/past-years-products/

You may also want to explore purchasing the software from various retailers such as Amazon, Costco, Best Buy, Walmart, Sam’s, etc.

Remember to prepare your state return as well—if you live in a state that has a state income tax.

When you mail a tax return, you need to attach any documents showing tax withheld, such as your W-2’s or any 1099’s.  Use a mailing service that will track it, such as UPS or certified mail so you will know the IRS/state received the return.

Note:  The desktop software you need to prepare the prior year return must be installed/downloaded to a full PC or Mac.  It cannot be used on a mobile device.

If you are getting a refund, there is not a penalty for filing past the deadline.  If you owe taxes, the interest/penalties will be calculated by the IRS based on how much you owe and when they receive your return and payment. The IRS will bill you for this; it will not be calculated by TurboTax.

Now----worst case scenario:

Did you e-file?  Hopefully it will be rejected.  If it is somehow accepted by the IRS for processing, then your problem is a bigger one to fix.  You will have to wait for the IRS to fully process your incorrect tax return.  AFTER they process it, you have to send in an amended return on a Form 1040X, which takes months for the IRS to process.

How do I amend my 2019 TurboTax Online return?

A 1040X cannot be e-filed.  It must be printed and mailed.  It will take about 4 months for the IRS to process an amended return.  It is a good idea to use a mailing service that will track it, like UPS or certified mail, so you will know it was received.

Wait about 3 weeks from mailing and you can check the status of your amended return:
