Yeah, those interest forms from the IRS fail to indicate they are essentially 1099-INT forms

 

Go to the Personal Taxes section, and create a 1099-INT   

...........(those using other software versions will go directly to the Wages&Income page)

 

Payer is: Internal Revenue Service.

Interest received goes in box 1

Don't take a picture, don't drag-drop a picture.......enter it all manually

On the starting page, do not search for the IRS... hit the button for "Change how I enter my form"

and another page...."Type it in myself"

@SteamTrain is correct. The EIN is in the letter and requires a little searching.
