Where do I allow for a refund and payments? 2017 taxes I had a $13k refund & applied to 2018. Receive refund check. I have since made three payments totaling $18k

To indicate the estimated tax payments made. please follow these steps:

1. Click on Federal >  Deductions & Credits
2. In the Estimates and Other Taxes Paid section, click on the Start/Update box next to Estimated Tax Payments. 
3. On the next screen, click the Start/Revisit box next to the type of tax payment (Federal, State, Local).  
4. Enter your payment(s) on the next screen, How much did you pay in federal [or state or local] estimated taxes? Select the locality from the drop-down list and enter the amount paid in the box.

 Your estimated payments will show up on line 66 of form 1040 (Schedule 5).

[Since you got a refund check instead of applying the refund to 2018, don't include that figure in your total payments.]
