Where can I find the TurboTax 2017 manual update file for the update released around 12/21/2017? The web site still has R7 which was posted two weeks ago.

The release notes for R9 which was released on 12/20/2017 have not been updated by TurboTax.  Why do you need a manual update?
Can you not just update your software by clicking on Online and then Check for Updates?

I'm on a Windows 10 computer.  I have not been able to update within TurboTax since earlier this year.  It goes through two cycles and then comes out those long failed messages (and I cannot copy and paste them here).  I've reinstalled many times.  Finally determined since the manual update file exists it is not worthwhile to fight to fix the update within it.  I think R9 includes my state forms and thanks to my friends at DC I need to have it to figure out if I owe my state income tax and pay before the New Year's.  Much more complicated next year.  🙂

Tech Support told me that R9 has just been pulled off.  And no state form anywhere is available yet.

For your situation you should really speak with a TurboTax support agent for both the issue of not being able to update your software and how to get the manual update that includes R9.  Although I am not to sure they will be able to help with the manual update since it has not yet been released to this support FAQ - https://ttlc.intuit.com/questions/1901192-manually-update-turbotax-for-windows-software-basic-deluxe...
