File an extension? The extension request, Form 4868, had to be filed on or before April 15, 2024.
Did you file an extension and now need to complete your 2023 tax return? If so, you need to sign onto the 2023 TurboTax online account using the exact same User ID that you created to e-file the 2023 extension request.
To access your current or prior year online tax returns sign onto the TurboTax website with the User ID you used to create the account - https://myturbotax.intuit.com/
You may have more than one TurboTax account. See this TurboTax support FAQ for how to view all of your TurboTax accounts - https://ttlc.intuit.com/turbotax-support/en-us/help-article/account-management/many-intuit-accounts-...
If you used the desktop CD/Download editions installed on your computer, the only copy of your tax data file and any PDF's will be on the computer where the return was created. TurboTax does not store online any returns completed using the desktop editions.
E-filing for a 2023 return is now closed---you cannot e-file anything now. When you have finished preparing your 2023 return---using the downloaded CD/download software----your return has to be filed by mail. If you began preparing the return using online TT, you now need to switch to the desktop software and use it on a full PC or Mac.

If you need to prepare a return for 2021, 2022, or 2023 you can purchase and download desktop software to do it, then print, sign, and mail the return(s)

You may also want to explore purchasing the software from various retailers such as Amazon, Costco, Best Buy, Walmart, Sam’s, etc.
Remember to prepare your state return as well—if you live in a state that has a state income tax.
When you mail a tax return, you need to attach any documents showing tax withheld, such as your W-2’s or any 1099’s. Use a mailing service that will track it, such as UPS or certified mail so you will know the IRS/state received the return.
Federal and state returns must be in separate envelopes and they are mailed to different addresses. Read the mailing instructions that print with your tax return carefully so you mail them to the right addresses.
