When the IRS web site shows my details of taxes filed

I have filed the taxes from turbotax and it got accepted. I have to pay the IRS some amount and i have opted to pay using the payment plan while filing. When i check the IRS website, my details are not yet updated? How long will it take to see our details in the IRS website?

You will need to contact the IRS for information. It might be easiest to set up an account with them.

IRS Individual Online Account

  • Taxpayers with a Social Security number or an Individual Taxpayer Identification Number can create or access their IRS Individual Online Account to get information they need to file their return.
  • With an IRS Individual Online Account, people can:
  • View balance owed, payment history and schedule payments.
  • Cancel scheduled payments.
  • Get transcripts.
  • View or create payment plans.
  • See digital copies of some IRS notices.
  • View key data from their most recently filed tax return, including adjusted gross income.
  • Validate bank accounts and save multiple accounts, eliminating the need to re-enter bank account information every time they make a payment.
  • View, approve and electronically sign power of attorney and tax information authorizations from their tax professional.

When the IRS web site shows my details of taxes filed

Thanks for the information. I am already holding an account in the IRS web site with my details given. Infact i have been using the web site for paying the taxes using their plan for the past 2 yrs. This yr, i did my tax return using the turbo tax and it says filed and accepted successfully, which means the IRS has accepted is what i am assuming. When i checked in the IRS web site i am not seeing any data relevant to this year tax. Once the TT sends the filed information any idea on when the same will get reflected in the IRS web site so that we can initiate the payment plan. Thanks a lot.

When you say you are checking the IRS website are you talking about your IRS account? You should see your return there right away.
