When I e-filed my state of Missouri State tax return TurboTax said it was accepted and said I should receive it's in my bank 24 to 48 hours and that was over a week ago?

When I e-filed my state of Missouri State tax return TurboTax said it was accepted and said I should receive it's in my bank 24 to 48 hours and that was over a week ago?

You do need to know if your return was accepted by MO using the TurboTax system as xmasbaby0 mentions above. 

Next, you need to know if MO shows that you filed a return. No information is not a good answer. You need to know if they got it or not. 

  • If MO shows you filed, they may be slow in processing it or have a hold on it.
  • If MO thinks you did not file:

Sometimes returns are processed by us but the receiver did not get it. In that case, you will need to:

  1. call TurboTax 800-446-8848
  2. prove who you are with an identity quiz
  3. get your DCN- declaration control number.
  4. call MO 573-751-3505
  5. give them the number so that they can locate your file and process your return.

TurboTax does not give you a refund date for a state refund, so not sure what you saw.   TurboTax gets no information from the state after you file your tax return.  TT will never know if or when you receive your state refund.

 

 

Federal and state refunds come from completely separate entities,  There is no rule as to which one will come first or how much time there will be between their arrivals.  Some states process returns quickly and some are very slow.
