The option to amend a 2022 return will only be available if you have filed the 2022 tax return.
To access your current or prior year online tax returns sign onto the TurboTax website with the User ID you used to create the account - https://myturbotax.intuit.com/
Scroll down to the bottom of the screen and on the section Your tax returns & documents. Click on the Year and Click on Amend (change) return
If the return is accepted you will have to amend your original tax return. An amended return, Form 1040-X, can only be printed and mailed to the IRS if the original tax return was not e-filed. The IRS will take up to 20 weeks or longer to process an amended tax return.
Before starting to amend the tax return, wait for the tax refund to be received or the taxes due to be paid and processed by the IRS.

I didn’t give enough information in my original post.
I am using TurboTax software loaded on my computer, not the online version. It is fully updated as of two hours ago, my original tax form was efiled and accepted by the IRS on April 17th and the money due was pulled from my bank account on April 18th.

Saw this, followed it. Tried twice to create an amended return. Neither attempt populated the original filed return numbers.
Where are you possibly getting lost ? Do you have the originally filed return on the computer ?
Original file is on the same computer in the same place with the same file name. Opened TT, selected Amend return, enter the data, upon review the original return figures are not present. Again, done twice with the same result.
Ok ... so column A doesn't show the original figures?
Try this : close the return you are working on and try to open the original file... can you still open the original return ?
