When filing, I added refund processing service for $44.99. The IRS kept my refund tho, so shouldn’t that svc cost be deducted from the total Intuit will now debit me?

I think so.  They only debit you the actual fees.

Ok ... since the federal refund is late the only thing debited now is the TT fees only ... the extra processing fee will be deducted  if or when the feds actually release the refund.
