When entering overtime is it the total overtime made in a year or the amount you make per hour in overtime?

You enter the total qualified overtime pay that you received for the year. Qualified overtime is overtime that is eligible for the deduction. Not all overtime pay is eligible. You have to get a statement from your employer showing how much overtime pay you received that qualifies for the deduction for overtime ("qualified overtime compensation"). The information might be on your W-2 or on your last pay stub for 2025. If not you have to get a separate statement from your employer.
