What's taking my refund so long? I have code 1541 on IRS site.

We just had to have my wife's job fax over her w2 and then they called my wife's job the next day to verify she worked there and then her boss had to fax over some other kind of paperwork also verifying her employment there

O ok I talked with my advocate yesterday and she has my W-2 she just mailed me out my w2 and amendment form to makes corrections bc I used my last paystub. Hopefully it want take long for them to make corrections since I have an advocate

Next time try to get them to fax the stuff to u. It's way faster. And try to fax everything to them

@Monty OMG please don't get my hopes up like that!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Listen every single morning I wake up hoping to see an update and I always end up with a turn down from the IRS. Now u telling me about this massive update and is like my hopes are on the highest peak right now LMAO!. And now I'm going to be on the lookout for that update first time morning and if doesn't happen tonight I'am going to be depressed for ever :(

Is the number the TA calls from unknown or do they call from the Same number we contacted them for the TA services??

I’m not sure @Ash1729. It could be unknown. I don’t believe it would come as the same number we called. And @Candyqueen they do huge updates every Friday night / Saturday mornings

A different number then the number we call. Mines called me from my state number, and I was told to do a advocate in yo state will call u so I was expecting the call to be a Texas number.

Yea I live in Michigan and he told me my Ta would call me from the New York office

So I didn’t get to call the TA Today but I did call the IRS first to just see for the heck of it if I needed to do anything and they told me that I am just selected for review and I don’t need to do anything and to just wait for my deposit. Is that true or do you think something is wrong? Did any of that happened to you guys?

Like did you call the IRS and they said everything is OK it’s just under review and then you call a tax advocate and they said that you have to do this in that?

Yep I was told that twice and when I finally decided to get a advocate u asked them why I was told nothing was needed. She said some will tell you but they are training to tell y nothing is needed bc it would then open a can if worms and if they don't wanna explain they will say that.

Palex they told me the same stuff, that I didn't need to do anything but wen the advocate called me she let me know that I needed to send in a couple things. So yeah they deff could be lying
