On a senior federal return where there has been on withholding why are they receiving an income tax credit for year 2021?

No one can see your tax return. We do not know what credit you are getting. Can you tell us what line it is on?

By any chance is it line 27a? They changed the rules for earned income credit and you can get it even if you are over 65. Did you enter some income earned from working?
