What is the best way to fill out NC4 and IRS W-4?

Just moved from TX to NC for a job that starts in a couple days.  My income is increasing about 70%.  With the state tax in NC and increase in pay, I want to get ahead of any potential tax situations.  My spouse is staying in TX until at least October.  Married, no dependents, no mortgage.
