If someone claims (or can claim) you as a dependent on their return, this will affect your eligibility for certain deductions and credits, but you can still go ahead and file a tax return. Just make sure that when we ask you if someone else can claim you as a dependent on their tax return that you answer yes. We'll take care of the rest.
