We still haven't got the 3rd stimulus checks. I got it on my debit card last time. They had us getting it on March 17th. Now it says error? Why?

We still haven't got the 3rd stimulus checks. I got it on my debit card last time. They had us getting it on March 17th. Now it says error? Why?

It depends. If you were trying to login too many times in one day, you will be locked out.

 

March 17th was the first batch of third stimulus payments to be sent out.

Your account has been locked for 24 hours. This occurred because:

  • Information you entered doesn’t match our records – for security reasons we limit each user to 3 failed attempts per 24-hour period; or
  • You have already accessed the system the maximum number of times within 24 hours – we limit each user to 5 logins per day to manage system capacity.

The lockout will only release when the 24 hours have passed. Don’t contact the IRS for assistance with a lockout: IRS assistors can’t unlock your account.

I'm still not able to get on the IRS website. It's still telling me that our information doesn't match. I have been on the site before and I'm putting the same information in. I need to talk to someone about this.

Please visit the TurboTax Help article below for information regarding Stimulus payments. Per the IRS Get My Payment website, "Do not call the IRS. Our phone assistors don't have information beyond what's available on IRS.gov."
