W2 for 2020 submitted along with 2019 tax return

Hi,

I had received a W2 in advance   related to some settlement for 2020 and by mistake i have submitted it along with my 2019 returns.

Do I need to file amendment or what should be my next steps.

STOP and WAIT ... do nothing until the IRS does something with the 2019 return ... chances are they will catch this error.  If they do not and send the incorrect refund  THEN  you can amend the return.

Still wait ... until you know what the IRS will do with the return you cannot correct it.
