Used T.T. to file taxes and employer just gave new w2 form saying there was wrong input in the first. Is there a dif. Way to amend since we can't until Feb 15th with T.T?

An amended return, Form 1040-X, can only be printed and mailed to the IRS if the original tax return was not e-filed. The IRS will take up to 20 weeks or longer to process an amended tax return.

Before starting to amend the tax return, wait for the tax refund to be received or the taxes due to be paid and processed by the IRS.

No there is not a different way to amend.   You need to wait until your original return has been fully processed and then if you need to amend---you use Form 1040X---which becomes available later in February---date subject to change.

What changed?  You might not  need to amend for some changes.
