TurboTax transferred an amount from my 2016 return to my 2017 return for prior year estimated state taxes paid, but I cannot confirm that amount.

Then you need to make the correct adjustments in that section ... just because estimates were suggested doesn't mean that you paid them.

To enter your State Estimated Taxes:

• Type estimates paid in the search box and click search. 
• Click on Jump to estimates paid.
• At the Estimates and Other Income Taxes Paid screen, under Estimated Tax Payments, click on State estimated taxes for 2017.

It turned out that TurboTax presumed that I had paid my 4th quarter estimate in January of the following year, when in reality I paid it in December of the tax year. That 4Q amount was the number that I could not identify, but your answer helped point me in the proper direction.
