Turbotax says I can't amend my federal taxes right now. I have to wait until a form 1040X is available. I haven't mailed anything yet. Can I open it back up for editing?

I completed my taxes, paid for the product and was in the process of reviewing the hard copy forms before sending them in.  I found something that needed to be corrected and when I logged back in to turbotax, it said I can't amend my taxes right now.  I have to await a 1040X.  However, I don't want to do a formal amendment because I haven't sent my tax forms out yet.  Does anyone know of a way to go back a step and open it back up for editing?

To access your current or prior year online tax returns sign onto the TurboTax website with the User ID you used to create the account - https://myturbotax.intuit.com/

When you sign onto your online account and land on the Tax Home web page, scroll down and click on Add a state. 

This will take you back to the 2020 online tax return where you can make any changes before filing.
