Federal returns are free to E-File, so it's possible that you've selected to E-File your Federal Return, but elected to Print/Mail your State Return. In this case, when you're prompted to print your filing copies, then only the state return will print out.

one more time.   when printing Mo ret to be mailed- Mo requires copy of Fed return.  why doesnt it print what is needed from Fed ret, for Mo return, while it is printing Mo return.

I reviewed the print requirements for "Mo" (assuming this means Missouri). The requirement of the federal return being attached to the Missouri return is conditional on certain values going over an amount (Example: Combined Pension Exemption greater than zero). These conditions are found in the Missouri instructions.

TurboTax is set to print and include federal along with the state when meets these conditions.
