Turbo Tax won't let me go backwards on the 1040X form, thoughts?

Can you explain what you mean by going backwards on the form?

I began filling out an amended return because I omitted two charities I have money to. I filled out the federal portion and when I got to the state return portion, I accidentally selected that I submitted my federally amended 1040x. It then asked when it was accepted and I realized my mistake. But I cannot go backwards and select "no" to the question of whether I submitted my federally amended 1040x. It is requiring that I give the date my 1040x was accepted.

you need to go back into the FEDERAL section and finish the Form 1040-X for the IRS.

And submit it.

Then the answer you gave will be the correct answer.
