Turbo Tax says my federal return has been accepted but the IRS website says its only been recieved.

The general timeline of e-filed returns is: Transmission > Acceptance > Processing > Approval > Refund.

Your return is between Acceptance and Processing.

The IRS started processing returns later than in prior years and as such has a backlog to work through.  They also just recently started processing returns claiming EIC and/or ACTC.

Thanks! Ive already received my refund for my State taxes and was getting a little nervous. Every other year I have gotten State returns quite a bit later then federal.

That's what accepted means...IRS received and accepted the tax RETURN.  Then they process the RETURN.   Then approve and issue any REFUND.
