Since you have already filed your return, you need to wait until it’s accepted or rejected by the IRS before you can amend it to make any changes.  Then, you need to determine whether adding your mortgage interest and state taxes will have any effect on your return.  If you took the Standard Deduction on your original return and your Standard Deduction is greater than the total of your itemized deductions, including your mortgage interest and state taxes, you will not need to amend your return.
