Turbo tax and the post office say the irs has my taxes as of july 15th however on the irs website they cant find my return did something happen to it?

for many months due to the pandemic, the IRS was not processing mailed in returns.  the backlog was about 11,000,000.  it may take 8 to 12 weeks from the date received for the IRS to get to your return.

Sorry you have to keep waiting.  Because of Covid-19.

Back in March the IRS closed their processing centers and stopped processing mailed tax returns.  An IRS spokesperson recently said that they have about 11 million pieces of unopened mail.  The IRS says....."We’re experiencing delays in processing paper tax returns due to limited staffing. If you already filed a paper return, we will process it in the order we received it."  So it may take longer if you mailed in June.  So you have to keep waiting.

Is it showing up at IRS Where's my refund yet?

Make sure you are using the refund amount from your actual federal tax return and not the combined amount Turbo Tax showed you at the end.  That was for federal and state combined.
