It should. Here's a blank 2021 W2.

Your W-2 for 2022 will say 2022 somewhere on the form. Many employers do not use the official IRS form, so the format can vary. Your W-2 might not look like the IRS form that VolvoGirl posted above. But it will say 2022 on it somewhere.

Your employer has until Jan 31 to send it to you. Have you gotten one yet? Does it not say 2022 anywhere on it?
