Trying to amend my 2021 tax return with Turbotax for desktop - instructions are wrong

I'm following the instructions to start an amended return. I get asked if I already filed, and if I want to amend, but I don't ever get prompted to open my previous return. So basically I get asked to fill everything out again including personal info etc.  Starting from my previous return does not give me the option to amend. What do I do?

There is another way.  Open your return first.   After you open your return and make a Duplicate like the Amend FAQ says, go to 

Federal Taxes or Personal (Deskop H&B)
