Hello all,
I successfully transmitted my federal and state tax returns, which were accepted at both the State and the Federal level. However, after transmission, I inadvertently wiped my information from the tax forms because I used the same tax forms to complete a tax return for another person.
What is the best way for me to get these tax returns back? Is it by requesting a copy directly from the federal government and the states?
Thanks for your help.

There is no way to get your tax returns back from TurboTax. The only way is to get copies or transcripts from the IRS and the state. A transcript contains the information from your tax return, but it is not in the format of the actual forms. See the following link on the IRS web site for more information.
Topic 156 - Copy of Your Tax Return – How to Get One
Check your state's tax web site for information about getting a copy of your state tax return.
FYI ... the ONLINE program can only complete ONE tax return per account ... you should never use the same account for a second return as the first one is overwritten by any further changes. If you need to file more than one return you should use the DOWNLOADED program if you can or if one of the returns qualifies to use the one of the IRS FREE FILE options.
